Brockton Beats Culbertson Teams
Brockton’s boys’ basketball team stepped up in the second half to edge Culbertson, 64-55, at home on Saturday, Feb. 8.
The Cowboys trailed 19-16 at the end of the first quarter, but the score was deadlocked at 30-30 at the half.
Brockton scored 16 points in the third period for a 4641 advantage. The Warriors then accounted for 18 points in the fourth period to earn the conference victory.
Top scorers for the Warriors were Jarid Fasthorse Jr. with 20, Tefton Bear with 15 and Josh Firemoon with 14 points.
Also scoring for Brockton were Colter Nygard with seven, Ronnie Blackdog with five and Miles Boxer Jr. with three.
Mark Kirkaldie and Gavin Deen led the Cowboys with 11 points each. Brooks Solum finished with 10 points.
In the girls’ game, Brockton posted a 54-41 victory.
The Warriors jumped out to a 20-6 lead in the first quarter and held a 28-16 halftime advantage. Brockon scored 15 points in the third period to increase its lead to 43-23.
Leading Brockton were Tamryn Bauer with 28, Ava Lone Bear with 10 and Raykira Track with 10.
