Bainville Ends Regular Season Undefeated

Bainville’s girls’ basketball team finished its undefeated regular season with a 50-25 win in Brockton on Saturday, Feb. 15.

The Bulldogs led 13-11 at the end of the first quarter and 26-17 at the half.

Bainville increased its advantage to 39-25 in the third quarter. The Bulldogs outscored Brockton, 11-0, in the fourth period.

Leading Bainville’s attack were Elsie Wilson with 17 and Hailey Berwick with 16.

Also scoring were Miah Pippenger with five, Tally Berwick with four, Lila Butikofer with two and Addison Hansen with two.

Leading Brockton was Ava Lone Bear with eight points each. Marlene Fish added seven.

In the boys’ contest, Brockton earned a 59-52 victory.

Brockton led 27-17 at the half, but Bainville fought back to 45-43 in the third quarter.

The Warriors outscored Bainville by a 14-9 margin in the fourth quarter.

Top scorers for Brockton were Colter Nygard with 17 and Miles Boxer Jr. with 10 points. Jarid Fasthorse Jr. and Quannah First That Walks added eight points each.

Rowan Wilson led the Bulldogs with 20 points. Reed Winn and Parker Berwick scored 10 points each.

Also scoring were Isaiah Bjorge with eight and Carter Pacovsky with four points.
