This week has been real cold, but we enjoyed seeing the full snow moon on Lincoln’s birthday. I trust you have had a wonderful Valentines Day, honoring your spouse. I have.

The Lustre Lions Leaguers 1 team had the highest score in the competition at Bozeman in Robotics performance with a score of 265. They were Justin Schiller, Christian Nell, Nancy Schiller and Bryanna Allen. The Broadwater Lego team had 260 and the Helena Nano team 255. They competed in Bozeman with 18 other teams of the 21 who qualified to compete in the Montana State Championship of the First Lego League.

The Montana State Championship competition was canceled due to weather but held a competition with the teams that made it there. The Lustre Lions Leaguers A team was honored with a runner-up award when other factors were considered. Their score in robotics was 215. The A team is comprised of Sam Byers, Liam Reneke, Josua Matthyser and Ian Unrau. The competition was broadcast on the internet with a link to the Montana State Championship First Lego League.

The district basketball tournament begins Feb 19-22 in Wolf Point.
