TEB Approves Buffalo Program, Transit Requests, ID Checklist
The Fort Peck Tribal Executive Board held its full board meeting Feb. 10 in Poplar.
The board approved the Fish and Game Department’s Buffalo Program to accept the bid from Jonny Bearcub Stiffarm for the positions in Grant #3273 for the ecolodge/ community education coordinator positions.
The tribal maintenance department’s request to pay FY24 to Hill Enterprises was approved in the amount of $1,067.79.
The services contract with the Ranch Advisory Partners for the Fort Peck Buffalo Program was approved.
Fort Peck Transit was approved to apply for funding 5311 and TRASADE funding through the Montana Department of Transportation for the Fort Peck Transit Dial Ride Program The board approved the contract negation with Water Tech and asked legal counsel to review the contract for tribal security.
A request to pay FY24 unpaid Ringel Consulting Services, Inc. invoice in the amount of $4,998 was approved, as was the amended Human Resources Director job description.
The board voted to sign on to the Earthjustice legal intervention on the side of Department of Interior officials who are being sued in their official capacity about issues related to the National Park Services July 2024 Yellowstone Bison Management plan.
The board approved payment to the Law Office of Old Elk for legal services rendered in the month of January per committee approval.
The check list and application requirements for IDS for off-reservation members were approved. The Enrollment Department has been authorized to send IDS once those requirements are met, with the fee for off-reservations IDs was set at $20.
An invoice from Big Sky Energy Partners LLC was approved for payment in the amount of $1,875.
TEB is the duly elected body representing the Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes of the Fort Peck Reservation and is empowered to act on behalf of the tribes. The next regular meeting is set for Feb. 24.
