The Culbertson and Bainville FFA chapters earned honors during a district competition held in Richey on Monday, Feb. 17.

Culbertson’s farm agribusiness management team featuring Bridger Salvevold, Ivy Colvin, Henry Colvin and Mark Kirkaldie took first place. Individuals placing were Salvevold in fifth, Ivy Colvin in sixth, Henry Colvin in eighth and Kirkaldie in 12th.

Felixe Becker took second in prepared public speaking and third in creed speaking. Josie Simonsen placed fourth in prepared public speaking.

The parliamentary procedure team consisting of Ayden Ator, Payton Labatte, Ivy Colvin, Josie Simonsen, Kalia Featherston and Felixe Backer placed third at the competition.

Culbertson’s JV farm agribusiness management team took first place. Individuals placing were Felixe Becker in sixth, Payton Labatte in ninth, Catherine Donaldson in ninth and Cal Steppler in 14th.

Payton Labatte was an all-star parli team floor member. Felixe Becker earned first place for star greenhand.

Culbertson placed second for the Big Muddy District overall sweepstakes, second for production sweepstakes and fifth for leadership sweepstakes.

Bainville’s Tally Berwick earned first place in extemporaneous speaking. The senior was named district all-star chair. This is her third time being selected as allstar chair and fourth team to the parli all-star team. She and Rowan Wilson tied for the top parli test score.

Tenley Berwick placed second in junior creed speaking.

Bainville’s parliamentary procedure team featuring Tally Berwick, Addy Hansen, Hailey Berwick, Kaston Hofer, Rylan Iverson and Rowan Wilson earned first place.

Rylan Iverson was selected for the district all-star parli team. Rowan Wilson received honorable mention.

Bainville earned first in both ag production sweepstakes and overall district sweepstakes.
