Arson Suspected In Structure Fire Arson Suspected In Structure Fire

The Wolf Point Volunteer Fire Department responded to a call of a structure fire at 204 First Ave. S. at about 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28.

Upon arrival, command told the hall over the radio to bring a small brush truck for a small fire in the living room area.

Jarod Weyrauch was command on scene first.

When 17-8 responded with fire chief Clint Bushman and Trevor Davis, they immediately started searching the house for secondary fires. After 17-1 showed up for manpower with Micheal Iwen and Trevin Boysun, fire fighters started removing windows and doors due to the strong smell of gasoline throughout the structure.

Bushman said, after approximately 500 gallons of water soaking down the interior of the structure, that they let it air out further and cleared the scene.

Bushman said, “No injuries reported and this was definitely suspected arson as per our report.”
